Banking is an integral part of our day-to-day lives and the economy. This research aims at studying for both pre and post liberations periods and the impact of the financial sector reforms on the various financial parameters. The study has been done with the help of secondary data collected in the form of various financial indicators of SBI's performance such as deposits, advances, profit, productivity, performance and efficiency ratios etc. over a span of 22 years, from Mar 1989 to Mar 2010. This period is divided into two parts to compare the performance of SBI before and after the financial reforms. Suitable statistical tools have been used to find out if liberalization has an impact on SBI's performance, areas of impact and no-impact identified. Keywords

The popularity and necessity of portable electronic systems by users have strongly influenced VLSI designers to make great effort for reduced silicon area, improved speeds, long duration battery life, and great reliability. The VLSI designers always try to save power consumption while designing a system. This technique also reduces the transistor count and thus the area of the circuit. Thus the circuit will be much simpler and easy to manage. To design of an 8 – bit Arithmetic Logic Unit using Gate Diffusion Input (GDI) Technique and also the comparison with other logic styles. Basic Logic Gates, half adders, full adders, multiplexers etc are also designed and performances are compared in terms of power dissipation and transistor count. The ALU design uses 2x1 multiplexers, 4x1 multiplexers, half adders, full adders and OR gates to realise the basic arithmetic and logic functions. The arithmetic functions are Addition, Subtraction, Increment, and Decrement. The logic functions that can be realised are AND, OR, XOR, and XNOR. The simulation tool used is Tanner EDA 13.0 using 250nm technology.

Wheat grass (Triticum aestivum), the young green plant that grows from the sprouted wheat kernels planted in most soil Is one of the functional foods gaining popularity as a potential nutritional product with numerous health benefits. Wheat grass is a complete food with 70 per cent chlorophyll, vitamins A, C and E, bio flavonoids, minerals (iron, calcium and magnesium) and 17 amino acids. Wheat grass strengthens the immune system.- Predicting Academic Performance Using Genetic Algorithm and SVM Classifier

Predicting the performance of a student is a great concern to the higher education managements, where several factors affect the performance. The scope of this paper is to investigate the accuracy of data mining techniques in such an environment. The first step of the study is to gather student’s data and their marks and technical, analytical, communicational and problem solving abilities. We collected records of 200 under graduate students of computer science course, from a private Educational Institution conducting various Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses. The second step is to extract and select the data and choose the relevant attributes for the accuracy using genetic algorithm. Attributes were classified into two groups “Demographic Attributes” and “Performance Attributes”. In the third step, support vector machine algorithms were constructed and their performances were evaluated. This work will help the institute to accurately predict the performance of the students for their growth. Keywords

Chalcones are main precursor for biosynthesis of flavonoids which are frequent components of human diet. Recent studies on biological evaluation of chalcones revealed some Anticancer, Anti inflammatory, Anti mitotic, Anti tubercular, Cardiovascular, cell differenciation inducing, nitric oxide regulation modulatory and hyperglycaemic activities. This present research includes synthesis of varies chalcones from 5-acetyl salicylamide and evaluation of their anti microbial activity. Objective:
1. To synthesize chalcones using different catalyst solid NaOH.
2. Characterize chalcones using TLC, NMR, MASS and IR spectrometry.
3. To evaluate the anti-microbial activity .

The paper focuses on providing the information regarding the pesticide and the amount of pesticide to be used for an unhealthy crop. The user who is the farmer clicks a picture of the crop and uploads it to the server via the android application. After uploading the image, the farmer gets a unique ID displayed on his application screen. The uploaded image is then processed using image processing techniques, the features are extracted based on clustering and SVM Classification is applied, accordingly the disease is detected. The disease and the corresponding pesticide and other information about it are updated into server. The farmer using this unique ID can retrieve the complete information about the Disease name, affected area, pesticide name and its optimal amount to be used. Keywords

This survey presents the concept of big data. It has a set of techniques and tools that needs new forms of integration to uncover data from different datasets that are complex, and massive scale. It is difficult to process the big data because everyday quintillion data are generated. The challenges include analysis, capture, search, store, transfer, visualize, and privacy violations. This paper focused on big data with different tools and techniques. Keywords
